Get to Know Ellie and Otto Home Cooked Food For Dogs
With our background in the restaurant industry, we have a passion for good food. We want to take your dog's dinner from over-processed fast food, to fine dining. We only use human grade ingredients, purchased from the same places you would purchase your own food. We take a common sense approach to canine nutrition by using a variety of superfoods for optimum health; muscle meat, organ meat, healthy fats, fruit, vegetables, dairy and nutritious grains. We gently cook our food from scratch, maintaining the same food safety standards as a restaurant kitchen, vacuum pack, and ship fresh, directly to your door.

Do you ever wonder what's in your dog's food?
Did you know there are no national pet food regulations in Canada, aside from how it is labeled, marketed and named? Most commercial dog food is clearly labeled "NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION" because it's made with meat, grains, vegetables and chemicals that are not safe for humans to eat. Why do we feed it to our dogs? There's a better way. Food for your dog should be made with food that you could actually eat too.
Why is our food better?
We start with real muscle and organ meat, or salmon. Whole roasts, not ground meat.

Absolutely NO animal meal, by-product, preservatives, artificial color or flavor, EVER!

We gently cook the meat with vegetables and whole grains. We then add fruit, dairy and fat.

Restaurant standards of preparation are used. Produce is washed, grains are rinsed, surfaces are sanitized and careful attention is paid to ensure food is always kept at safe temperatures.

We never use discounted, expired or spoiled product of any kind.

It's important to have a varied diet to meet nutritional needs, so we use over 30 different ingredients in our recipes.

We don't add any synthetic nutrients because we don't need to.
